BUY LOCAL FOODS SEMINAR 2021
Did you know that at least one of every seven people in our region struggles with food insecurity?
 
Join us virtually on Zoom or by phone this year for the 13th Annual Buy Local Foods Seminar
Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 1:00-4:00 pm
 
Sponsored by Catholic Rural Life (CRL) and the Adams-Brown Diabetes Education Coalition
 
Keynote Session: “The Benefits of Having a Local Food Council”.
Michaela Oldfield, Director, Greater Cincinnati Regional Food Policy Council and Anne Schneider, GCRFPC Farm to School Coordinator.
 
The Keynote Session will be followed by virtual breakout sessions on topics of interest to consumers, producers, and especially anyone with an interest in actively engaging in the formation of a Brown County Food Council.
 
Presenters for the two breakout sessions on Food Council formation are:
Dan Remley, Associate Professor and Field Specialist, Food, Nutrition, and Wellness, Ohio State University Extension
 
Denise Neu, Planner, Adams-Brown Community Action Partnership
 
Sue Basta, Coordinator, Adams-Brown Diabetes Education Coalition
 
Debbie Ryan, Coordinator, Adams County Creating Healthy Communities Program
 
Margaret Clark, Volunteer with Hope Emergency Food Pantry
 
And selected members of the Adams County Food Council
